Last minute booking after trip to Golden Bay cancelled with the rains. Felt very lucky to find somewhere so lovely. We stayed in the cottage; so very private and cosy. Good heating, good shower. Beautiful views. Well equipped kitchen. Very very comfy bed. Hot tub was wonderful. Everything you could need, basically. Lots of breakfast goodies. Get pizza from Black Rabbit, it's phenomenal! Highly recommend staying at this lovely place.

I recently but unexpectedly found myself officiating as A Marriage Celebrant at Te Mahuru and my impression of the whole experience was without question exemplary... Jen and Paul were more than accommodating under extreme conditions ..but because of their understanding professional experience..the day went perfectly.. This place and its owners are without doubt the best in Kaikoura for a Wedding Ceremony ..but any function would experience the best hospitality you could wish for... it was indeed a pleasure .. Jen is the best hostess, very welcoming and friendly. Room's well equipped, immaculate and very comfortable. Thoughtfull attention to detail, even flower's on bedside table. Hot tub so relaxing & great to star gaze. Breakfast yummy, home made jams and bread. Other guest's also friendly. Lovely garden. Highly recommend, definitely stay there again.

Lovely B and B. Very comfy (softer than many hotels) beds. Huge too! Jen is a wonderful host who even baked a fresh loaf of bread for breakfast. Lots of games to play if the weather isn't great too. We'll be back.

We had a fantastic stay at Te Mahuru. Nothing was too much trouble, Jen was a fantastic host and we had everything we needed for a lovely, relaxing stay. The Spa Pool and gardens were wonderful for the girls. The trampoline and Star swings were brilliant. Waking up to that view every morning, was just fantastic. We stayed here with our 3 and 5yo. Its perfect for kids with a lovely big garden and so nice and warm and cozy. Such incredible views of the mountains. Try the hot tub at night whilst enjoying a view of the stars. Would definitely come back here - Kaikoura is a very special place.

This place was a real find. A convenient location if you dont need/ want to be walking distance to town and enjoy the peace of the surrounding farm land. Clean, homely and the fresh eggs for breakfast were a lovely touch!
